Eligibility, exclusions, deductibles, valuation and coverage terms vary by carrier. A complete description helps avoid classification surprises and reduces follow-up.
The finish room can change carrier appetite
Disclose every stain, lacquer, solvent, adhesive and finishing method. Describe approved storage cabinets, mixing, ventilation, electrical classification, waste disposal and spontaneous-combustion controls for oily rags. Water-based products may reduce some hazards but do not eliminate the need for accurate disclosure.
Installation creates completed-work exposure
Separate shop sales from delivery and installation receipts. Explain wall attachment, plumbing or electrical connections, countertop work, demolition, work in occupied buildings and subcontracted trades. Contracts, measurements, design responsibility and customer approval records can matter after a dispute.
Protect the production bottleneck
A CNC router, edgebander, dust collector or finishing line may determine how quickly revenue resumes. Document values, serial numbers, controls, software, foundations and realistic replacement lead times.
